He said it better than I would – the first time I listened to Mr. Les Brown was on a 4-track tapes given to me by a close acquaintance Mr Chris Coetzee the managing director of Synergy (1+1)=3 Management Development Company. Chris Coetzee was not only my acquaintance he was also my mentor and life skills coach. Those days were the foundation of my “self-discovery” and utmost learning curve to find myself, considering my career  and background was initially the technical repair and maintenance field.

Continuously reflecting on “self” to improve yourself

I was virtually new to the “personal development” field and the new concept of “self-improvement” science and Synergy (1+1)=3 became my learning ground and Chris, the person who gave me a clear understanding on how one can fundamentally grow by challenging oneself through “self-improvement” and continuous learning and growing to become self fulfilled.

Les Brown is one of those individuals in my portfolio of motivators who inspired me and through his tapes changed my perception about life and how living on the edge of life can alter your state of being. It also had an impact on my personal outlook on family, friendship and business. How the kind of company you keep can influence the direction of your future and blemish the kaleidoscope of your perception to lose its inner conscience in keeping yourself together, before you lose yourself to someone else.

The Balancing act!

The biggest obstacle in life is to keep the momentum of the six wheels of life moving and growing simultaneously at all times, while try to keep a balanced view of life and relations. It’s like trying to keep your vehicle’s engine in constant motion yet not idle, even if your gasoline is running low.

A difficult act to balance if you’re human and starting everything from scratch and without moral or financial support from anyone except yourself and The Almighty! The point is; to keep moving forward and to reach your next level of achievement; you must be willing and prepared to sacrifice something to get to the top. We need to be vigilant to tendencies that box us into mediocrity to become slaves of routine in a dysfunctional environment. Don’t waste your life on idle or remain deep in slumber if your heart is still turned on. Wake up before it’s too late to do something relevant with the little time you have left to make a change.

As a people we need to consistently and religiously water ourselves with hope and deep aspirations of growing maturely in the process of fulfilling our dreams, without ultimately becoming victims of our own stagnation to be obsolete and redundant to society or workplaces.  In the interim never to ignore our need to contribute to the betterment of others; we must be nourished by learning, improving our skills, reading, and listening to different views and motivators like Les Brown to absorb new knowledge. Beyond that we must forge links and partnerships with progressive and proactive people who make things happen and affect life in a positive way.

Failing to grow and realizing our true value in life does not only stifle our creativity and the ability to expand our consciousness by tapping into our spiritual treasure and divine power, lest we forget to become the best our Creator wants us to be. If the journey is different for each individual, it is equally important and reliant upon our intellectual input in defining our definite course of action to win against any odds. So! learning and schooling ourselves beyond a formal education environment cannot be compromised by excuses to find alternatives to prosper and lead the way. It is therefore, incumbent for us not rest our laurels, but push our sorry souls to its unlimited potential as it will  manifest its magnificent refulgence to sing praise and glory to the Creator.

As a result, I would to like share with you this amazing source of inspiration that will forever make a difference in your life, as it did with mine.

A new voice that might help you see life with a new pair of eyes

One can never get enough of this kind of talks and motivational antidotes  if one must keep above and beyond the ordinary commercial shackles and trenches of society’s ill-defined metamorphosis of our intimate daily struggles. In South Africa we have few people like Les Brown to help keep our momentum and our vision in check to fight on when inspiration dies out. We need words of wisdom and inspiration to helps us focus on the positive side of life in order to cope mentally with any negative obstacles, that might hinder us from becoming our own champions and trusted best friend! The question is! Are we all listening to our inner voice shouting to come out and save us from our downfall. Or are we simply flirting with the edge in our fingers to respond to a social media messages on our “cell phones” to appease our curiosity by acting unconsciously in fulfilling a habitual appetite for valueless “web” hunger for information to go with the flow?

If you listen to Les Brown maybe his voice will trigger a new brain wave pattern that will alter your “critique” state of mind to question your timely existence in the abuse of time to understand how much you’ve wasted your gifts and talents in saving you from yourself in the rat race. Life is not all about parties, politics, eating, celebrations and killing of time, to subject ourselves with its delusion of grandeur, rather acknowledge and know that, there is more to it than meets the eye. Listen carefully to how Les Brown spells it out to you differently with extra ordinary flair! It is almost the same message from this website slogan “Think, Improve, Grow, Work, Pioneer, FLY”.
